Are you a victim of fear and are looking for how to overcome fear? Have you ever tried any idea or medication, and it seems nothing is working?
Wait! Go no further because this post, “Four Keys to Overcome Fear,” is for you!
In our previous article, we discussed about “How to Overcome The Fear Of Death,” but today we will be looking at 4 Keys to Overcome Fear In Life. Let’s begin with an understanding of the concept of fear.
What Is Fear?
FEAR is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real. It can be defined as the total absence of faith.
Fear is a state where someone loses his or her senses of truth to falsehood in possible ignorance.
Fear is a state of mind where truth is absent and falsehood appears to be very real!
Fear is a tormenting “spirit” that guarantees the devil’s access into a man’s territory.
Fear is an enemy of man’s success and salvation.
Fear is not a friend of man. It is an enemy of God designed and assigned to enslave God’s people. In other words, fear is a weapon fashioned against the people of God.

Bible Verses To Overcome Fear
° Proverbs 3:25-26, “Be not afraid of sudden fear, nor of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.”
° Isaiah 35:4, “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.”
° Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
From the above Bible verses for overcoming fear, we can see that fear comes from a force. It can either be from someone or something not convenient for the mind.
When ever it comes, the ability to overcome fear depends on a higher force, far above principalities and power.
Our salvation from slavery to fear depends on the power of the Almighty God.
Three Things To Do In Order To Overcome Fear
- Remember that God is for you.
- Remember that God is with you.
- Remember that God is in you!
Everything is centered on what God has done and will do (including our ability to overcome fear).
The knowledge of the victory you have in God is the first step to your freedom from false evidence appearing real (FEAR).
The knowledge of God and what He has done is the foundation and a vital key in addition to the 4 Keys to Overcome Fear listed below.
4 Keys to Overcome Fear In Life
The word “key” represents a license to access the treasures of a castle or chest.
In this context, it is used to represent ways to overcome fear.
It is worth knowing that if you must overcome fear, you must be in faith.
Having been in faith, you must:
-
Know That You Are Of God:
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4).
The first key to overcome fear is to be in the knowledge that you are born of God and believe it.
Don’t try to work it out with biological facts; believe the truth of your new birth in Christ Jesus.
Your faith in the new birth is your victory over sin and slavery to fear.
-
Believe That God Is For You:
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
-
Believe That God Is With You:
“Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:20b).
God is with you and me. For this reason, fear will remain far as long as we are in the faith.
-
Believe That God Is In You:
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4).
Many children of God are ignorant of the God in them. When you know and believe that God is in you, fear will find no space in your dwellings.
You are an overcomer by faith in the finished works of Christ. Therefore, overcome fear with faith by believing in yourself through the One in you.
